About Cable plus phone

The “Cable plus phone” is a fixed-line phone service that provides low fees while keeping the same level of functionsand quality as that of NTT-subscribed telephones, by offering the KDDI network and STARCAT optical hybrid network as substitutes for NTT-subscribed telephone lines.

Monthly basic charge: \1,396 (An additional universal service fee per month)
^* Lower monthly fees
^* Save on calling rate.
^* No changes in usage of current phone

The subscriber’s current phone number can be maintained by using the number portability system.
^* There my be some cases where the number portability system cannot be applied. In this case, a new number will be provided by KDDI.

The subscriber’s current telephone set can be used.
^* There my be some cases that the current telephone machine cannot be used.

Procedures for Making

Please call us, whatever the change to be made.

Moving House

The tuner can be re-installed and service continued, only under the conditions below:

• The new house is within the service area of STARCAT, and it is possible to put the line in directly.
• The apartment already has the STARCAT system. (Please call us if you do not meet these conditions)

Please fill in the form which is sent to you, and return it as soon as possible.

N.B. The installation fee for the new house must be paid.

Transferring the registered name

Please fill in the form which is sent to you, and return it to us.

N.B. Transfer of the registered name is possible only within the same family.

Changing the bank account from which payments are made

Please fill in the special form which is sent to you, stamp it with your seal and return it.

^* In order for your request to be processed promptly, please return the form by the 20th of the preceding month.

Temporary Suspension

Please notify us and a letter of confirmation will be sent.

N.B. During the suspension, the following rental fee will be charged; ¥525 per month for a Home Terminal and ¥1,050 per month for a Digital Max / Ace/ Mini and ¥1,575 per month for a Digi-Roku Max / Ace / Mini. (Consumption tax included for both) The maximum period of suspension is 6 months.

Cancellation

The line and tuner will be removed.

Payment must be made in full for the month during which the cancellation is made. Notification must be given by the end of the month at the end of which you wish the service to actually finish.

¥3,150 fee ( including tax ) will apply for all cancellations.

Please Note

The TV picture quality may be adversely affected by bad weather

The channels broadcast by STARCAT are received via a communications satellite,using a large parabolic antenna. As a result of this arrangement, bad weather (local downpours,snow etc.) in the areas where the signal is transmitted and received may affect the TV picture. This is not a failure of your tuner. We regret that this may cause considerable inconvenience and ask for your understanding.
